If you are considering joining St George’s, or just visiting, then welcome!

The best way to get to know us and find out what we’re about is by coming to a service on Sunday. The services in the morning (9.15am and 11am) are for all ages, and we provide a children’s church for children aged 0-11 years at 9.15am, aged 4-11 years at 11am.  The evening service (6.30pm) is largely attended by those in their teens and upwards. It is a slightly more informal service than the morning services.

On the first Sunday of each month we have an interactive all age service where the children and adults stay together for the whole gathering. The baptism of children often takes place at this monthly service. Click here to find our Church location and a list of car parks.

We also run the Alpha course on a regular basis for those who are interested in exploring the Christian faith and would like to know more. Our staff members are also more than happy to meet up with you over a coffee and chat through any queries you may have. If you would like to meet with someone, then contact the Church Office.

Vision & values

St George’s Church, Stamford is a thriving evangelical church nestled in the heart of the town of Stamford. We have a mission to proclaim the gospel to everyone locally, but also have a role to play in the revitalisation of the church across Lincolnshire. We are a church where Jesus is at the centre, the Bible is our guide, and people matter.

Being a member of St George’s

If you attend St George’s on a regular basis, and consider yourself to be part of our church family, then please complete a contact form so that we add you to our church family database and send you regular email updates.

We also have an electoral roll which you are welcome to join if you have been attending for over six months, or if you have just moved and were on the electoral role of your previous church. You will need to be on the electoral roll to have a vote at any church meeting or to be involved in the PCC. The electoral roll is updated every 12 months. Contact the Church Office for more details.
