Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Life Skills is a free, enjoyable course that is run in conjunction with the CAP debt service and the services provided by St Georges Church for the community in Stamford and the surrounding area.
- It is a 10 week course where members learn skills like saving money, dealing with life’s pressures, relationships, organisation, health and wellbeing. It is intended to help build resilience and enable members to take control of their future.
- It is held in a group setting to help build community assisted by a team of befrienders who attend the course alongside the members.
- Social activities like picnics, cooking, quizzes etc are included to bring fun and encourage friendships.
- One to one informal coaching is provided by our two coaches to support the members who set their personal goals and to help them achieve them.
- The good news of Jesus is shared.
